Jung's theories, such as the shadow, individuation and ego, utilizing a Jungian approach. The exhibition is the artist's first appearance in Vaasa.

About The Event
The My Shadow exhibition explores the depths of the mind and the unconscious – the landscape of the paintings symbolically depicts the human mind. The works draw on Carl G. Jung’s theories, such as the shadow, individuation and ego, utilizing a Jungian approach. The paintings delve deep into the inner world of the mind, hidden beneath the horizon. Their creation has been a long creative process, in which intuitive choices and unconscious actions have found space.
The works contain symbols from the artist's own unconscious, depicting transience, incompleteness and the construction of the new. Making art promotes individuation, helping people become more aware of their shadow and approach their true self. Jungian philosophy emphasizes the recognition and acceptance of dark sides and shortcomings as part of the self, which enables a person to grow and become more whole. The My Shadow exhibition has previously been presented in Helsinki and Turku.…
