Johannes Heikkilä and Kalle Lampela are visual artists from Rovaniemi. At the core of their work are the basic elements of composition: point, line and surface, as well as different materialities. Heikkilä works on abstracted structures through various material experiments and methods. He explores the surfaces of reality, perception and experience by applying graphic and painting techniques. Lampela utilizes playful and random processes in his work. He uses found and recycled materials as well as graphite and charcoal in his works.
